What would you do if you found out you only had 1 week to live?

Would you go on a trip? Spend time with your love ones, forgive someone or ask someone to forgive you, or maybe write a song. Whichever it may be; do it before you are told you only have a week to live.

I have been battling cancer for over 4 years now. I’ve been told several times by different doctors that I’m not going to live a long life. Those words have only made me appreciate and love life even more.

None of us are promised a long life. Whether you are a terminal cancer patient or a healthy person, we aren’t promised tomorrow. As we all know death is a part of life. Dying doesn’t concern me. I’m concerned with what I’m doing now. Don’t wait for bad news to enjoy your life. Enjoy it now. Live today. In the book of Job in the Bible it says, “Life is like a flower, we blossom for a moment and then wither. Like the shadow of a passing cloud, we quickly disappear.” Your time is now. Set yourself [realistic] goals. Start small and build on that. Enjoy!

Love always,

Chrissy

Either way I win!

“If children have the ability to ignore all odds and percentages, then maybe we can all learn from them. When you think about it, what other choice is there but to hope? We have two options, medically and emotionally: give up, or Fight Like Hell.” -Lance Armstrong

I’m not going to allow fear to grip my heart. My life is in God’s hands. He is the Author and Finisher of my life; not my disease. The way I see it, I’m in a win win situation. If I beat cancer I can stay here and enjoy life a little longer & if I lose the battle against my disease, I’ve gained heaven. Win win!
